Amgen Nonprofit Fair

After our recent digital media workshop, the networking machine presented us with an opportunity for Scientists, Inc.

Angela was contacted by a friend who works for Amgen in Tampa where they hold an annual nonprofit fair. They invite local organizations in to present the work they do for their communities. The employees get an opportunity to learn more about these groups and vote for their favorites to win a grant to help support their charitable mission

As one such nonprofit, we were eligible to participate, and so we prepped our materials and headed to their offices to share our love for science outreach.

We got to discuss our annual taste of science festival, our podcast and a new festival we are planning for kids in Tampa. We also had the pleasure of connecting with other charities in the area. There are so many people worthy of this funding, but we hope that we are included among them!
